Spider-Man: Brand New Day has leaped over two blockbusters in its fifth weekend at the worldwide box office. The movie has surpassed Ne Zha 2 and Titanic worldwide, moving closer to the top 3 highest-grossing movies of all time. Spider-Man: Brand New Day almost hit $900 million at the North American box office

The Tom Holland-led MCU movie collected a solid $22.2 million on its fifth weekend at the box office in North America. It remains at #1 in the domestic rankings, defying the new releases. It is the biggest release of the year to date and is living up to the mark. According to Box Office Mojo data, it has reached an $891.5 million cume.

According to Box Office Mojo, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has hit the $2.33 billion. It collected $44 million at the overseas box office in 67 markets. It has earned this sum across 29k screens. It breaks into the all-time top 5 grossers worldwide. The movie has surpassed Titanic’s $2.26 billion in worldwide box office to break into the all-time top 5 worldwide.

The Marvel movie has also surpassed Ne Zha 2’s global haul. For the uninitiated, Ne Zha 2 grossed $2.27 billion worldwide at the box office. It has thus beaten Chinese animation to become the 4th highest-grossing movie worldwide. It would have broken in the all-time top 3 but missed the global haul of Avatar: The Way of Water by a whisker.

Avatar: The Way of Water is the second film in the Avatar franchise and the all-time #3 biggest film worldwide. It collected $2.334 billion at the worldwide box office in its lifetime. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is less than $2 million away from surpassing the lifetime total of Avatar: The Way of Water as the 3rd highest-grossing film of all time worldwide. The Tom Holland-led movie was released on July 31.
