Pushpa 2 The Rule: Allu Arjun Puts His Foot Down Literally In A Poster To Announce Massive Clash With Ajay Devgn's Singham Again, Will Rohit Shetty Fight For Glory Or Think Logical?
Allu Arjun Has Made Two Major Announcements With A New Pushpa 2 The Rule Poster (IMDb/Instagram)

The entire country was waiting with bated breath for Pushpa 2: The Rule’s announcement, which was scheduled for today, and everyone wanted to know whether the release date of the film would change or not. And the answer is No. The actor has put his foot down for the release date of the film.

For the unversed, the Pusha sequel is all set to release on August 15, 2024, triggering a massive clash with Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again. But when it was announced that a major update regarding the film was on its way, fans had little hope of the clash being averted since the announcement collided with Ajay’s birthday.

But now, with the announcement, Allu Arjun has finally hinted that Pushpa Jhukega Nahi Saala! A new poster has been dropped by the makers featuring a foot clad with Ghungroos and the announcement of the teaser date, which happens to be April 8.

Will Rohit Shetty Fight For Glory?

Singham Again is Ajay Devgn’s biggest release this year, and Rohit Shetty has put together a stellar cast, including the magical trio of Ajay – Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh along with Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff as the new cops in the cop Universe and Arjun Kapoor as the villain.

The most successful film of this franchise, Singham Returns, was released on Independence Day, and Singham Again is also scheduled to be released on the same day. Now that Allu Arjun has put his foot down, it would be interesting to see if Rohit Shetty will fight for glory or take a logical chance over the risk involved and shift his film to some other date.

Allu Arjun Ready For Rampage

If Rohit Shetty decides to fight this epic battle, then it would be a massive clash, and who knows, it might bring an unimaginable number to the table because the glimpses of Pushpa 2 The Rule are screaming out destruction on the word go.

Meanwhile, for the last few years, August 15 has always been a date to clash. Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 & Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 clashed on the same date in 2023. Also, Akshay has been witnessing box office clashes on August 15 with his films Mission Mangal, Gold, & Rustom.

Revisiting Pushpa: The Rise At Hindi Box Office

Pushpa was released on December 17, 2021, at the Hindi Box Office, and since none of the films were working at the box office, it was not expected to perform. In fact, Allu Arjun opened at only 3.3 crores and was clashing with the Hollywood biggie Spider-Man: No Way Home, which was released on December 16.

But Pushpa roared at the Hindi box office so much so that it collected 106 crore in its lifetime and hampered two Hindi films, Chandigarh Kare Ashiqui, that were released a few days before Pushpa and lost. But the bigger dent was to Ranveer Singh’s 83, which was released on December 24 and could collect only 102 crore at the box office.
